Reviews and Field Tests separate observed performance from marketing claims and disclose the conditions that make a result meaningful.

Methods before verdicts
A test identifies the device or software version, configuration, task, date, comparison basis and important limits. Readers should be able to understand what was observed and what was not tested.
Review units and support
Material loans, discounts, travel, access, technical support and embargo conditions are disclosed. A provider cannot approve or rewrite the conclusion.
Commercial separation
Commercial relationships and possible affiliate value cannot determine a score, verdict, ranking, recommendation or editorial order. Affiliate links, when separately approved, must not alter the review conclusion.
